Sony Xperia Z3 Compact Review

Sony is back with a brand new compact device and although it isn't a huge update, it is yet again the most desirable mini smartphone that
one can get. With minor updates and similar design and form factor, the new Z3 Compact certainly looks like one of the best Android smartphones. Comparing to its predecessor, the Z1 Compact, we now have a larger 4.6 inch display which offer 600 nits of brightness, a Snapdragon 801 SoC with 2GB of RAM, a 2600mAh battery and the same 20.7MP camera which now supports 4K video recording. Other minor changes to improve the ruggedness of the device.

You get Android 4.4.4 along with a refreshed UI which feels more fluid. The OS is stable and we didn't notice any issues with apps and high end games run smoothly. The handset also support a direct link to the PlayStation 4, where you can actually attach the handset to a controller and play games running from the console.

The camera app as it is more responsive and faster. The camera also has boosted ISO capability of up to 12800 which is highest on a smartphone camera. Pictures come out great and offer natural colours rather than going for higher saturation. Even 4K videos are of great quality. A promising phone, overall.
